I can clear this up a bit, as I am part of the group that wrote the
software for the 4000.

The 4000 was never a PVR machine. It did not have a tuner card. The
software on it was custom. Later on when the 5000 was being considered,
Hauppauge 250 cards were put into the 4000s and myth loaded. First 0.16
then 0.17. This was for demo purposes only. There was never a machine
sold with mythtv loaded or even with a PVR card installed to the best of
my knowledge.

When the 5000 was being readied, the decision was for Sage to be loaded
onto the new box.

So, regardless of their screenshots, AFAIK, myth is NOT being
distributed with these boxes.

I can't comment on CableCard support aside from saying that I would not
support any statements about any of VWB's boxes having CableCard support
without actually seeing it in action first.
