But you can't display the captions on the output from the MPEG-2 decoder 
in the PVR-350.  It outputs them in the NTSC signal for the TV to decode.

Captions work for you because you're using a real video card--the 
FX5200.  The point of the post was that the PVR-350's decoder is really 
not worth the money (and--IMHO--more importantly, not worth supporting).
