I don't get what you mean, you can already map keys to pretty much
every function in Myth. Many are not mapped and many use the same keys
when feasible (ie the functions won't interfere). If you mean you want
to be able to tell what you mapped in your lircrc file, just make a
comment for yourself.

As for the "app", its the mythcontrols plugin, which you can access
under "Utilities/Setup" iirc.
