You don't need the full bandwidth for the graphics when running
mythtv, and allowing the video card to monopolize the PCI bus
prevents other high bandwidth devices like your HDTV card from
using the bus. You may not need to do this, but it can help,
especially if you have multiple HDTV cards.

I've found that this makes for a more responsive system, even
when you are playing a graphics intensive game. Though absolute
fill rates suffer a few percentage points.
