I am using a Sceptre FT15. I dug this out from work. It was made in 1998, and
i'm surprised I even got it to work with linux. I was told we paid 5000$ for it
back in '98.

As for what you said before, I don't think I understand what you mean. My
current problem is that when I am in mythtv, either in the menus or watching tv,
the mouse does nothing. Because the mouse does nothing, if you ONLY have a touch
screen, it is impossible to navigate. On a side note, this touch screen is for
say, a mobile environment where there exist NO OTHER way to communicate with the
computer excep the touch screen. There is no mouse, no keyboard, no remote
control, only the screen.

For mythweb, you say it is possible to have controls pop up. Do they pop up
within mythfrontend, or within a web browser?

The reason I need the menu is to say, change channels while watching tv.

I am thinking that the LIRCEMU (lirc remote control emulator) will do it, and
htat's what i'm trying right now. If it does do it I will try to port its
functionality to my small application.
