Hm, really nothing special here. The log is, ehrm, very normal:

2005-10-25 19:27:01.906 Started recording "Tagesschau" on channel: 1 on
cardid: 2, sourceid 1
2005-10-25 19:27:02.158 scheduler: Last message repeated 1 times
2005-10-25 19:27:02.191 scheduler: Schedule Change
2005-10-25 19:27:02.589 Changing from None to RecordingOnly
2005-10-25 20:00:00.001 Finished recording Tagesschau on channel: 1
2005-10-25 20:00:00.070 scheduler: Finished recording
2005-10-25 20:00:00.103 Changing from RecordingOnly to None
2005-10-25 20:00:00.104 Reschedule requested for id 0.
2005-10-25 20:00:01.297 Scheduled 39 items in 1.2 = 0.00 match + 1.19 place
2005-10-25 20:00:01.309 scheduler: Scheduled items
2005-10-25 20:00:10.341 New DB connection, total: 2
2005-10-25 20:00:10.376 Transcoding
from /myth/rec/1_20051025192700_20051025195000.nuv
to /myth/rec/1_20051025192700_20051025195000.nuv.tmp

And then, probably minutes later, the crash (I can tell because I control the
machine from outside, and alarms started to trickle in at 20:04, when the
check interval is 5 minutes).

I appreciate that, really :-) I was starting to get nervous that it would be a
heat problem or somesuch. Now, after deleting that one specific recording,
things are normal again. The box recorded 4 clips since yesterday and
transcoded them successfully. Besides, I pondered the machine with some CPU
intensive jobs just to verify that heat would not be a problem.

I hope that this was a unique incident ..

CU, Joe
