OK.  I thought you were saying it's not working and sometimes you said 
yes and sometimes you said no to the prompt about continuing without 
sound.  So, if it doesn't ask you whether to continue without sound when 
sound is "enabled," you should be OK.

Therefore, it's probably a video output issue.

At the level of logging you've chosen (default), it could be any of a 
number of things.  To get more detailed info from the logging, use a 
command like:

mythfrontend -v playback

or

mythfrontend -v all

Also, search the lists.  It seems like at least one person per week 
starts a new thread about LiveTV crashing after 1 second or something 
like that.
