First of all, I'm new to the list, and only recently started using
mythTV. My experiences so far are very positive, but I'm running into
some minor problems.

I'm running mythTV on Ubuntu 5.10 with two Hauppauge PRV 150's, AMD
Athlon XP 2600, 1 Gig memory and a ATI Radeon 9250. Basically everything
is running fine, but somehow my machine completely locks up almost every
time when scheduled commercial flagging starts. When this happens, the
only way to bring the machine back to life is performing a hard reset
(my poor file system..), and logging in remotely to rename
/usr/bin/mythcommflag.

At the moment I have disabled commercial flagging. I tried running
mythcommflag manually. It started okay on a 30 minute file until
somewhere around 40%, and then the machine locked up again...

The strange thing is that scheduled flagging of that particular file
worked once before on a scheduled job, however, the process failed again
on the next file.

Could I be missing some dependencies, or could it be that I'm just
hogging the CPU by trying to let it do the impossible? I changed the
recording profiles to somewhat more moderate settings, at the time
things failed I was using PAL (720x576) at high bitrate (something like
11.000). Right now I'm using the same resolution settings, with a much
lower bitrate (something like 3000 - 3500).

I have searched the archives of the last two months for an answer to
these questions, but din't run into anything usefull. Any help is
appreciated.

Stanley
