[mythtv-users] xine DVD menus, slow lirc response

Hello,

When xine plays a DVD menu, the lirc response
slows to a crawl. I have to hold down the remote
button for a few seconds to get a response. CPU
utilization is 70% idle. And if I hook up a mouse,
response to the mouse is perfectly fine. I got the
same behavior under KnoppMyth R5A16 and Gentoo.
I'm currently running the latter.

I'm running:
media-libs/xine-lib-1.0.1-r3
app-misc/lirc-0.7.2
media-video/xine-ui-0.99.4-r3

Has anyone else experienced this?
Is there a fix available? A patch maybe?
