Well, I commented everything out of the modprobe.conf after the PVR-150 
MCE line and lirc worked.  Anyone have any ideas which part was causing 
the issue?  Now granted I'm not at all sure what all of the options 
mean, I got them from other posts that I saw here and on the ivtv and 
lirc groups.
