This is the line it dies on in the bad one - after compiling Myth "(**)
FontPath set to "unix/:7100"" with the error "fonts.dir" not found in
/usr/X11R16/lib/X11/fonts". entry deleted from path.


Trying to launch x from the commandline:

"Could not init font path element unix/:7100, removing from list!

Fatal server error:
could notopen default font 'fixed'"
