I used to think about doing that, but with 'Sky' remotes.  There are 
probably some solvents that can dissolve the inks they use in the 
production process, but using them you'd run the risk of taking all the 
paint off the remote.

The best way to do it would probably be to strip everything off the 
remote casing and get it re-done.  The only problem with that is that 
it's going to be relatively expensive :-(
