[mythtv-users] Manually Entering QAM Channels?

After 2 days of debugging/testing I managed to hack together a working
channels.conf for my QAM 256 Provider (Rogers in this case). They broadcast
about 15% of their channels in the clear, and I have them all.

 

I'm able to manually tune using azap and cat /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0, so I'm
certain I have the frequency and video/audio pid data.

 

Now I want to add this to Myth. I tried using the scan utility, but needless
to say Rogers doesn't broadcast the headers to Myth's satisfaction. I'm
pretty comfortable with updating the Myth Database directly, so can anyone
provide me with a quickie step-by-step to manually adding the channels?

 

For any dev's out there a utility to manually add from a working
channels.conf would be a great addition!
