No.  Leave mythbackend running.  You will need it when you update the
lineup.  According to the dialog, deleting the settings won't change the
current recording schedule (although once you get the new listings the
schedule may change as errors are corrected and gaps in the listings are
filled).

You don't need to restart the backend, but you do need to (as root) run
the cron.daily job to get the listings, as step #5 will only get channel
information and not episodes.
