What I've done is:
- Set up recording profiles to "enable auto-transcode".
- In recording schedules, configure the desired schedules for
auto-transcode (or not) depending on what is desired.
[These instructions are for SVN; I don't know if this is in 0.18.x.]
I am using an HD-3000 for HDTV, and do the above to transcode most
things to save space, and not transcode others for where I really care
about getting the "HDTV experience".
