[mythtv-users] watch recordings crash and sound clicks in recordings

hi
i've been using mythtv for some time now, and it works quite good but still i 
experirence two problems:
- strange "clicks" in sound (both on livetv and during recordings)
- mythfrontend crashes after trying to play the recording for the third time 
in a row (i play, i exit, i play different or the same recording, i exit, i 
play again, crash!, mythfrontend dissapears)
i use gentoo, myth tv 0.18.2 from portage, my tv card is an old aver tvphone 
(848 based card).
i'd be grateful for any advice

ps. one more question: is it possible to play nuv files recorded by myth in 
some other player (not myth frontend), in linux and/or windows?
