I had a lot of stuttering during playback and hanging on large deletes
(1 hour plus recordings) on ext3. Went to jfs after reading Jarod
Wilson's Fedora 4 site and saw a remarkable improvement. Just my mileage
though, you may have better disk, hardware, etc...
