[mythtv-users] dvb channel data into myth.

I'm looking for advice in moving channel data that I scan using dvbscan into
myth channel listing.

I've set up a capture card (dvb) as indicated in the setup guide.

Adding the hd3000 as a dvb device shows up and looks right in myth-setup.

I can use dvbscan/ and azap to select and tune into channels. Running
dvbscan to create a conf file works fine,

However I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the frequencies and
their sub-channels imported into myth, AND mapped to existing channel
listing provided by zap2it.

So far I've tried to

-import the data using the channel.conf format. However this always errors
indicating that I don't have valid data.

(So on this note, what is the proper format that myth expects for a
channel.conf. What would be defaults that work?)

-Added a new transponder with a selected frequency that has several sub
channels that work.

Myth scans and discovers the channels, but they end up not working. (Fact
is that it will actually lock up the DVB card, indicating that it's
unavailable.)

-Last was to directly populate entries in the db. Updated channel and
program table. Also fails to work?

I would provide the version number if I knew what/where I could get the
info.

Thanks again.
