My tone is entirely because of the responses I've received up to this point.

You did _not_ do that for the version you've included in R5A22.  That's a 
fact, not something that can be argued.  If you had, the protocol version 
would be 15, not 18.

The revision number (7689) is for the repository as a whole, not a specific 
branch.  Check the header in libs/libmyth/mythcontext.h for the actual vesion 
number.  This can be confusing for someone who's never used svn before.

I just checked, and the posted instructions for how to grab the 
release-0-18-fixes branch work perfectly.
