I don't know if it's any use in eliminating possbile causes of the problem,
but I'm also using a FX5600 (Winfast A310 if it makes any diff), to do my TV
output (even tho I have a PVR-350, I prefer using the Nvidia card to get
accelerated OpenGL for goom etc). The only time I've noticed any
blur/interlacing type effects is with a fast action .vob file (I have Victory
by Bond for example, and in the scenes with fast dance moves (spins etc) the
image gets fractured - I haven't managed to get XvMC working yet ).

I'm currently running at 1024x768 on a 28" widescreen normal CRT TV, aside
from the above mentioned, I find the quality to be pretty damn good (given a
good recording source of course)
