Hi,

I am considering embarking on the building of my second mythtv box. I
have the CoolerMaster Cavalier T02 case
(http://www.coolermaster.com/index.php?LT=english&Language_s=2&url_place=product&p_serial=CAV-T02&other_title=+CAV-T02+Cavalier%202)
already purchased for this and a P4 2.8 or 2.6 around somewhere. Where
I am hung up is on video card and capture card.

Currently I am using a nVidia FX5600 with a DVI to HDMI cable. I have
seen some of the newer nVidia cards come with component out. How would
the component out quality compare to HDMI at 720x480? Anyone with
comparitive experience with the results? Which models would be a good
choice?

Also, for a capture card, I currently use the PVR-250. Its tried and
true with stable drivers, but is there anything out there that will
give better SD results? A friend has a MCE box and he said the
Sapphire Theatrix 550 was "noticeably better" than the PVR 150MCE he
originally tried. But there's no Linux drivers. Is this planned any
time soon? Anyone know how the quality compares?

My goals with this box are for it to be more quiet with better SD
quality. My current box is quiet enough, but more quiet is the
"challenge" goal. (I am going to use the Baracuda 7200.7 200GB PATA
drive as its rated well as a quiet drive).

By the way, the Cavalier case is quite nice, the purple strip on the
front that shows up really purply on the website is nowhere near as
purple in real life.

Thanks

Robin
