[mythtv-users] master-backend with slave backend/frontend

I am trying to configure a master backend system with a remote
frontend/slave backend. I’ve got a PVR150 card on the master backend and a
PVR350 card on the remote frontend/backend. I have successfully seen live TV
on the remote frontend/backend but I can’t seen to get it to switch channels
or get any guide data. When I goto to the guide the frontend program crashes
because it can’t find any guide data. On the frontend I am samba mounting a
/video directory and a /buffers directory on the master backend. I have
configured the mythtvsetup to point to the master backend and upon startup
there seems to be connection between the two. In Jarod’s guide, which rocks
BTW, something is mentioned in remote frontend setup about changing a value
in /usr/share/mythtv/mysql.txt my system does not seem to have this file….
Is this the problem??? Oh yeah, I am running FC3 and Myth.81 on both
machines.

When I tried the live TV function it seems to work well, I can pause,
rewind, and fastforward and I am getting great audio. I just can’t get any
guide data or change channels. At present when I watch TV it is using the
tuner in the master backend, and I am controlling it with the remote from
the PVR350 in the remote frontend/slavebackend .Where am I going wrong???
Any thoughts????
