Yes, I was making up filenames for the purpose of this e-mail... I
didn't want to spend the time you did explaining it, to remember and
type one up.

side note: I actually have a cron job that runs every 15 minutes that
will change ownership and permissions on all the files in the relevent
places...

I've never used that rebuilddatabase.pl because I didn't know exactly
what it did. I don't know where it gets the guide data from... does
the myth database actually keep ALL old stuff? Some of these
recordings are from 3 or 4 weeks ago at least.

Although you're right, it is similar, I did do manual insertions of
the data. I didn't think that it would do anything screwey.

Right, but I figure people that pay closer attention to the dev list
might know the database schema a little better
