[mythtv-users] after recoding: using nuvexport to create a dvd?

Hi,

I have mythtv-0.17 and a pvr350-card in my machine. Since I have my
new tvpc, I use the convert-function to compress my .nuv-files.
After such a compression, a "file"-command shows my .nuv-files only
as "data". mplayer doesn't seem to be able to detect the correct
format of these files.

When I now try to use nuvexport (0.2) to create a dvd, apparently the
commands there (ffmpeg) misses also the correct file format. That's
why I am asking:

- does anyone the "correct" fileformat which is used after
compression and can tell me how to use mplayer with them (or which
codecs?)
- can I still use nuvexport to create a dvd with such recordings? Or
are there new tools I haven't seen yet to create a dvd automatically
(with menus) by just saying which recordings should be brought on
the DVD?

Ciao, Hanno
