Hi,

This is actually an Upmost mpg160plus.

I suppose it is a yuan mpg600 for its appearance, its original
producting company, and the fact it by itself alone works with
ivtv-0.2.0-rc3j and MythTV using mpg600 setting.

This mpg600 by itself alone works fine with ivtv-0.2.0-rc3j and MythTV.
The card can be automatically detected as a mpg600 but not the tuner,
which has to be specified as tuner=17. However, with 2 PVR-250s, it has
no sound. I have a box originally with 2 PVR-250's and 2 saa7130 based
cards working fine.
If I put mpg600 as the third card after 2 PVR-250's, it is detected as
the second instead of the third and the tuner does not work even though
tuner type is specified.
If I put it as the first one, I get video but no audio from mpg600. The
other 2 PVR-250's works fine. The following is my setting in modprobe.conf.
alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-81-0 ivtv
alias char-major-81-1 ivtv
alias char-major-81-2 ivtv
options ivtv tuner=17,2,2
options msp3400 once=1 simple=1 debug=1
To my knowledge, this could be caused by mpg600 having no msp3400 chip.
How to solve it?

Thanks,
Andy
