$ grep "INSERT INTO record "         mythtv_backup.sql > restore.sql
$ grep "INSERT INTO recorded "       mythtv_backup.sql >> restore.sql

This doesn't work.

The flie is like:  INSERT INTO `record`

How do you put this into the grep statment. It doesn't like the `
