Hi,
I have a problem with mythtv 0.18 - it seg faults when I try to watch
live tv (DVB) or a recording. I've used gdb to obtain a stack trace
showing where the problem occurs.
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

There is some history to this problem - I had this installation of
myth 0.18 working properly with X, but then tried to recompile for
directfb. I'm using gentoo so did this by changing USE flags, which
recompiled a number of the libs that myth relies on for directfb. In
the end I couldn't get directfb to work properly on this system, so
gave up and switched back to compiling myth (and libs) for X. Only the
switch back hasn't gone smoothly - I now get this seg fault where
previously everthing worked just fine.
So I suspect the problem is something to do with a library, or a db
setting, or something related to my directfb experiment that is
conflicting with my current setup and stuffing it up. I just can't
figure out what - and am facing the prospect of a machine rebuild to
correct this issue. Not nice. Any suggestions what to try or check out
in getting my system back to normal would be much appretiated,
otherwise I'm back to square one.
