I think that you can use mythtv as your default video
player.  I did some testing earlier and had mythtv
playing .vob and .avi (xvid and divx).  I also noticed
that there is a new table in the database -
videobookmarks.  Haven't really played around a whole
lot with bookmarking a video, but I did switch my
default player under videos to mythtv.
Sorry can't help with the 350 questions since I don't
have one.
