Nathan,

There is some progress. If I unplug the usb connector
and plug it back in, something (the driver ? or some
part of the driver. I thought the driver itself was
called "go7007") gets loaded by "hotplug".

>From /var/log/messages :
May 1 10:08:40 mythtvbox kernel: usb 3-1: USB
disconnect, address 2
May 1 10:08:43 mythtvbox kernel: usb 3-1: new high
speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5

load /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware/ezusb/hpi_PX-TV402U.hex
for 93b/a004/1 to /proc/bus/usb/003/005

And from /var/log/messages/syslog:
May 1 10:08:40 mythtvbox kernel: usb 3-1: USB
disconnect, address 2
May 1 10:08:43 mythtvbox kernel: usb 3-1: new high

May 1 10:08:45 mythtvbox kernel: usb 3-1: new high

However, after running Myth setup, it seems that
/dev/video0 was not created. From mythbackend.log:

Is there a location(s) on the filesystem I could check
to see whether all the necessary components of the
driver are there ?
