[mythtv-users] Workaround for "watch tv" freeze

Hello.  Like some other people, I'm experiencing the freeze problem. 
Briefly, it is as follows:

Press "watch tv", I get video and audio for about 2 seconds, then
freeze for about 10 seconds, then get returned to the main menu.

Everything else works fine, including recording tv.  I discovered that
if I record tv for a bit, then the "watch tv" function works.
