With the 500, you need an extra header thingy to use multiple svideo or 
composite inputs, so it may effectively take up as much space as a pair of 
150s. However, if you're just looking to use the tuners, I'd definitely go 
500, since you don't even need a splitter to get both tuners fed (the signal 
is split internally). Both my 150 and 500 work equally well now.
