[mythtv-users] ff/rew problems with Internal player on Videos

HI

Has anybody had this problem before on 
mythtv 0.17?  Looking for help..

Symptoms:

(Internal player).  I put "internal" on the video
player (instead of mplayer).

FF/REW/Page up/down wont work with playing videos,
the ff/rew are mostly too slow.   Page up/down 
will delay for too long (10,30 seconds) then 
mostly wont work anyway (might move forward only
a few frames or just jump backward).

The TV recordings work fine, its just the videos
that were transcoded from DVDs.


Other details that might help:

I put the dvd in, transcode, and it will produce
(after maybe 10 hours) an *.avi file in my specified
video directory (in my case /video/movies). Or
if ripped perfectly, *.vob files. 
the avi files are type DivX 5 or XviD (as identified
by the "file" command).
