Yes, nuv2avi is only for nuv files that do not have
the cutlist applied. I don't apply the cutlist on my
nuvs prior to transcoding and nuv2avi worked great.
Apparently, the cutlist conversion transcode hoses up
the nuv -> mpeg4 conversion. I read it some place or
in the documentation. Check out the mythtv wiki
article on nuv2avi (do a search there).

Yes, all you have to do is edit the Makefile and add a
-I/lame.h_is_here_directory/
and it will compile OOTB. Its a simple fix so don't
worry. Look in the Makefile and it will be obvious.
Just do a
#updatedb
#locate lame.h
to find out where your lame.h is hiding.
Works great for me. YMMV!!

This is an easy fix. Specify -aspect 4:3 in mplayer
or whatever you use to play MPEG4 videos. The audio
sync is not fixable with cutlist transcoded files. My
recommendation is to nuv2avi first, then use another
program to edit the MPEG4 files. Or just skip the
commercials manually.

Yes.
Thanks!
