I have an EZ-Buddie2 SFF computer with an XFX 5200 personal cinema card (the
tuner is not supported by rivatv yet so I do not use it) (there is also
onboard graphihcs but disbled in bios) and a Leadtek Winfast TV 2000 XP
Deluxe. This is all connected to an oldish 17" monitor. xawtv and tvtime
both work fine, and lspci -v is pasted below. My XF86Config has settings in
for TV-out but I don't use them, but anyway the impression is that the screen
is black rather than off - sometimes the first few key presses (e.g. numlock
on/off) are respected but no other resopnse is shown and even that does not
happen each time. I seem to be able to ssh in, but have not found the right
process to kill and I can't even use that to reboot - so I'm left with the
reset button.

I had a go at trying to run mythfrontend over the network at home but it could
not find the database - do I need to setup some server parameters to deliver
in this way?

I'm using mythtv 0.17 and have never tried any other version. Let me know if
there are other diagnositcs i can run.

All help welcome.

Simon
