[mythtv-users] My Windoze way to make DVDs from PVR-250 recordings, plus a small wish

Let me share my set up too:

1)  Record using PVR 350 + mythtTV.
2)  Edit out the commercials. MythCommFlag works well for friends
episodes (for my wife). For others, I have to do it manually.
3)  Encode the programs using mencoder to create mpeg2 (for DVDs). I
use KVCD matrices as well. I record at 9000kbps and encode at 900 -
1800 kbps. Quality is superb. With latest CVS version of mencoder able
to mux the files with DVD profile I skip demux-remux part.
4)  I have written my own front-end to dvdauthor-0.6.11 which uses
AVISynth to create animated menus and also has chapter facilty.
5)  Finally I burn the VIDEO_TS folder using Nero.


To Do (for myself)
1)  Add burn facilty within my frontend for dvdauthor.
2)  Make it template based for re-using the menu layouts.
