How does one enable ths kind logging? The only EDID-related stuff I
see in my XFree86.0.log is:
(WW) NVIDIA(0): Not using mode "400x300" (height 600 is larger than
(WW) NVIDIA(0): EDID-specified maximum 540)
(**) NVIDIA(0): Validated modes for display device DFP-0:
(**) NVIDIA(0): Mode "540p": 40.9 MHz, 34.7 kHz, 61.2 Hz
(**) NVIDIA(0): Default mode "640x480": 25.2 MHz, 31.5 kHz, 60.0 Hz
(**) NVIDIA(0): Default mode "320x240": 12.6 MHz, 31.5 kHz, 60.1 Hz (D)
(II) NVIDIA(0): Virtual screen size determined to be 960 x 540
which leads me to believe my TV will only accept 540p, even though the
manual says the DVI input will accept 720p and 1080i (this is a
Toshiba 42H83 RPTV).
Something that might be relevant is that I am running in an AMD64
pure64 environment. I'm unable to compile read-edid, and running the
32-bit version of get-edid in a 32-bit chroot was unable to obtain any
information.
