I have a Leadtek Winfast 2000 XP card. I cannot seem to set the tuner
type to 2 (NTSC).

modprobe .conf:

alias char-major-81-0 bttv
options bttv card=34 pll=0
options tuner=2 debug=0

(tuner type=2 is deprecated it seems)

dmesg (after modprobe):

Mar 1 09:39:58 localhost kernel: bttv0: using tuner=5

Mar 1 09:39:58 localhost kernel: tuner: type set to 5 (Philips PAL_BG

rpm -qa | grep bttv :
bttv-kmdl-2.6.10-1.766_FC3-0.9.15_20050113_172233-54.1.rhfc3.at
bttv-0.9.15_20050113_172233-54.1.rhfc3.at

Any help would be much appreciated.
