[mythtv-users] Problems with xvid/mpeg4 encoding

I have 2200 kbits/sec on 320x240. AutoGK (windows) turns a two hour
movie into a 1401 MB file with excellent quality and AC3 audio... with
the same video codec, at a much higher resolution.

I have fiddled with all the controls and have been completely unable
to find something satisfactory. I'm beginning to wonder if my codec is
broken or if the default settings we're not supposed to touch are bad.
