PVR-500: dual-tuner so you can record 2 programs at the same time. no
mpeg2-decoding. driver-support is still in full development
PVR-350: single tuner so only 1 program at the time. hardware mpeg2
decoding. haven't seen anything so far that can compare to this
quality. proven card, been around for a while, drivers are (pretty)
stable

The 500 doesn't have hardware decoding so... you'll need a videocard
with a pretty descent tv-out.
