Very possible to put together an HD capable frontend for little $$.

$241+ shipping:
$75 CPU : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E1681910341
$34 Heatsink : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835106037
$50 Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131483R
$35 RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820223009
$47 HD : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822137130

add a case (after a while we all seem to have an extra one) and you're set.

I'm running this CPU/heatsink/Motherboard/RAM, under FC3, Myth 0.18
atrpms, XvMC running 480/720/1080 content with not a problem. (Jarod,
your guide is invaluable)

I did already have an USB-IR receiver, and a remote, so you'd have to
throw those in.. Just wanted to share my notes.

Total build time, counting hardware and OS, from boxes to up and
running frontend, was under 4 hours.
