Most likely the blue stuff is coming from X. I fixed this on my setup
by running this:

xvattr -a XV_COLORKEY -v 66048

during the X startup. For some people a value of 0 works better.

This is not a fix for the issue. It just changes the background mat
color of X from blue to black. This doesn't explain why the image
appears to be moved down and to the right.

maybe, it should work, but what resolution you get to use will depend on
what your tv supports. Most likely only HD480i unless your 32" support
other HD resolutions at all (which I gather it does not given you state
'analog').

HD 480i doesn't exist but I get what you are saying. Right now I have
svid outputting 800x600i on my 32" Wega. It sounds like the component
output on that card will do interlaced analog. I just don't want to
spend the money and get the card to find out it won't work. I am
trying to get my frontend to replace my DVD changer which does 480i
and 480p. I think the problem MIGHT be that I am using the svid
through my receiver and I include this line in my xorg.conf:

Option "ConnectedMonitor" "TV"

Anyone have any opinions on this?
