[mythtv-users] RE: Recordings starting late and leaving empty files

Per my previous message re: short programs, I have been troubleshooting the
message mentioned in my previous post, and the issue appears to be a
concurrency issue between transcoding a recorded program and starting a new
recording. 

- when recording, new transcoding of old material works fine
- when transcoding, new recording will not start until transcoding is
finished

I've run 'lsof' to see if mythtranscode has any files locked, but I cannot
see anything amiss.

I'm running this on CVS head as of 1/25, although I started to see this
issue prior to that on 0.16 prod, but didn't know what it was.  I'm going to
switch my backend back to 0.16 to see if that helps....
