At the risk of kicking off a massive debate, I for one think the
development of guides tailored to specific distros is a cool idea

Just as long as it doesn't duplicate the stuff already in the official
docs but adds caveats and the likes for the distro in question.

Or maybe I'm just biased as a Suse user. ;-)
