[mythtv-users] Rip Quality settings & LCD

Hi

I ve just setup a new mythbox. There are a few issues...

1. Ripping DVD's is only possible with quality options good and
perfect. I believe there must be other options, but I dont see them.
My question: Are these quality options determined by MythDVD or by
transcode. All dependencies are OK, but maybe there are some USE-flags
(gentoo compile options) missing. Like to know more about that.

2. I attached an LCD-panel. Its a nice feature. But LCD-integration is
really buggy in MythTV, isn 't it. MythMusic crashes and I can not
acces the program guide with lcdD RUNNING. Are these known issues?

3. A gentoo-specific question. The language files don 't get
installed. Someone knows how to do this through portage?
