It's also possible to 'softmod' an xbox, using bugs in games and the
dashboard to install unsigned software.
I've recently tried this method to install xbmc on someone's xbox, and
it's a lot easier than the whole modchip-soldering thing... (and
cheaper:-)

XBMC is fully 'drivable' by remote.

That would be no problem, as long as you place a large enough hard-disk
in the xbox:-)
