[mythtv-users] Capture card in front-end...

Myth can become addictive, right? Or, have I lost it??

I've got my backend on order. I've got my prototype mostly working -
far enough along that I need to get it setup and in place instead of
sitting on the living room floor. My wife is starting to depend on
Myth to record shows. The glitches are somewhat minor, so...

I've got a PVR-350 which is sitting in my combined prototype Myth
machine. I have a new server that should arrive in a week or so.

I think I should get another PVR-250 to put in the backend.

My thought - and I don't quite know how to configure Myth to do this -
anyway, my thought is to leave the PVR-350 in the primary front-end.
The PVR-350 then is video output (RCA, the S-Video kinda sucks), a
capture card, as well as a recording device (VCR, camcorder) in the
living room, plus is supplies a handy remote control.

Do I need to have one of the "slave" backends on my primary viewing machine?
Does the main backend do the scheduling? I do want two tuners
available for recording.
Does the video get stored on the backend or do I need to NFS mount the
servers storage?
Is this a dumb idea???

I poked around but must not be searching on the right phrase. Or
maybe, it's because it's midnight. Just spin me around and push me in
the right direction... :-)

Thanks!
-Rob
