[mythtv-users] Deafening loud high-pitched chirp noise on skip or jump

OK, I've confirmed that the "loud chirp on skip" problem does indeed
happen when the ALSA:default device is used both on skip ahead
and skip back.

It occurs after approx. 10-12 consecutive skips most of the time but
can also happen with fewer consecutive skips. The problem does seem
less pronounced when using the alsa device rather than oss. So thanks,
this helps a lot.

At moderate volume levels the chirp is truly hair raising. =:-o
It would still be really nice to have this fixed.

Thanks for your responses.
