Yes, it needs two firmware files located under /lib/modules. For rpms

What tuner type does ivtv/tveeprom detect (see in dmesg)?

Did you install the v4l rpms from ATrpms for support of "new" tuners
(more like 6 months old)?

AFAIK there are no newer tuners.
