Hello. I'm running a KnoppMyth back-end that's got version R5A26.
However, I've discovered that it's got more than a couple unfortunate
flaws that hinder (IE completely prevent) working with a front-end.
I've been searching the internets and scouring the forums, so far,
none of the solutions have worked for me. So, I've decided that
drastic solutions are needed. I'm looking for some opinions.
1.) Delete, Rebuild the Database.
I've heard this solution does the trick, but I'm worrying about
the feasibility and how much time I'm going to be wasting with it.
2.) Build from scratch
Well, I'm thinking I would be better off just making a whole
new configuration. I don't think I'm going to compile from scratch.
Been there, tried that, didn't go so well. I've heard good things
about working with Gentoo, but I've never used it. I've also heard
Ubuntu has MythTV packages, and since it's Debian based, I feel kind
of comfortable with it.
Just wondering what people's experiences with these solutions/
configurations were like. If it's something to worry about, I'm using
a PVR-150 capture card.
