It is a configure option, but the problem actually lies in
libs/libmythtv/libmythtv.pro. You may need to make this:

using_opengl_vsync {
    CONFIG += opengl

Look like this:

using_opengl_vsync {
    CONFIG += opengl

The issue has been addressed in the development version.
